New Moon in Gemini…
Hello dear friends,
Tonight we have a new moon in Gemini, the sign of the twins. I have been working with some new goddesses in the last couple of weeks, one of them being Hera, so I asked her what message I should share with you tonight. As the cards came out I just stared at them blankly. No messages were reaching me! However, as I started the first sentence, it began to make sense.
If you look at the Decisions card, it is the perfect card to symbolise Gemini. Twins, and they have a decision to make. The other cards also heavily reflect air energy and again Gemini with the King of Swords. Geminis are masters of communication. I don’t know if a Gemini is ever lost for words, and with the new moon in Gemini, it would seem to be a good time to set your new intentions around communications. If you have been thinking about starting a blog and sharing your thoughts, gifts or wisdom, then now would be a good time to set that intention. Maybe you have been thinking of a podcast instead? Writing a book perhaps? These are just some examples of communication, and maybe it’s just as simple as speaking up for yourself and being heard.
Interestingly, as I am trying to write this post, I am having great difficulty typing. My keyboard is lagging or just not typing. I have even restarted my computer to try and fix it, so talk about problems regarding communication! I feel this is a message in itself. If you are struggling to get your words out then don’t give up. Keep trying to make yourself heard. If you find it difficult to vocalise what you want to say then try putting it on paper, but maybe with a pen and not a keyboard that doesn’t want to cooperate!
And for some of you, the message is to focus. Geminis can find it hard to make decisions by consistently being in two minds about things. If you resonate with this energy at the moment then maybe it’s time to make that decision and go with it! Be mindful of getting trapped inside your head. It is easy to end up in a never ending loop and not make a decision. Gemini also symbolises duality, and so I feel this also confirms any difficulties with decision making.
Lastly, I am constantly being drawn to the Tick Tock card. I heard, “there’s a change in the wind and something, or someone is blowing in.” This is actually quite funny seeing Gemini is an air sign! So look out for some news or perhaps even a visitor.
New Moon in Gemini
It’s all about communication and decisions…
On another note… for those of you who live in the beautiful Hawkesbury, I have teamed up with my friend Kylie, from Wild Within Australia. Kylie is a yoga teacher, art therapist and sound healer. Over a lovely catch up we thought of a wonderful way to usher in the winter season… a sound bath together with Sekhem healing. Kylie will relax and rejuvenate you with healing vibrations through singing bowls, chimes and more, whilst I go around and give everyone (who would like to receive) a Sekhem energy healing. If you have never heard of Sekhem, you can read about it here.
If you would like to join us for a beautiful evening of being able to go within, rest, relaxation and restoration to prepare for the darker days ahead, or to find out more, then head over here.
Solstice Serenity
A time rich in introspection and renewal…
I have never been one to pay particular attention to the seasons, but this winter season is different. I am feeling the call to honour it and all that it has to offer. And to be honest, if I was a bear, I would be right in my element, or season should I say, because it has been a long standing joke that I should have been a bear because I love sleep, and would happily hibernate for the winter season! However, I don’t think my family would leave me alone for that long. Instead, I have become obsessed with the element of fire. Last night I discovered DIY fire starters! They look so pretty, smell like Christmas and are all natural. I can’t wait to try them. My next project will rolled beeswax candles. I can hardly wait as I am going to make my own coloured wax sheets. Such a perfect craft for winter, so stay tuned and I’ll share my outcome with you, but in the meantime, here are my fire starters.
Wax Fire Starters…
Smells like Christmas and no nasty chemicals!
What have you got planned for this solstice? How will you honour this magical time? If you don’t have anything planned, then Kylie and I would love to see you at Solstice Serenity.
For those that live too far away, these fire starters are a lovely winter craft, and for my Northern Hemiphere friends, enjoy the sun!
Until next time, and because my keyboard is driving me crazy (perhaps it is also a sign, that less said, the better too?!)… hmm…
Much love
